It is an Audio Dramatization of Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan.
It is a sweet story of a family on the plains and prairies of the West who live the lives of farmers. We will meet Jacob, the father, and his two children, Anna and Caleb. Jacob’s wife died soon after giving birth to Caleb. Now, several years later, he feels the time has come to look for a new mother for his children and a wife for himself. A woman from Maine answers his advertisement in the paper and they get to know each other through letters. Sarah Elisabeth Wheaton comes from Maine and stays with the family. Anna and Caleb wonder. Will she stay? Does she miss the sea too much?
We had a lot of fun with the artwork for the cover. I (Victoria) drew the original design and our first thought was to leave it in pencil. We then decided Sarah Grace should try out her amazing watercolor on the drawing. She did and we are so happy with how it turned out.
We are so pumped to share this with you! Our goal is to release the production by the end of January if the Lord tarries and the crik’ don’t rise. We will also be releasing behind the scenes videos, audio and pictures weekly. Our promo will be coming soon!
Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey!
